Until I had my own art studio, I had no idea how important it would become in my life. However, without it, I now know that I wouldn’t be doing as well as I am at my studies, and I wouldn’t be able to focus so hard on my art.
My studio is the perfect space for me to keep everything related to my art. I can store all my materials and completed pieces here and it’s a dedicated space where everything helps me to focus and concentrate.
If there’s something you’re passionate about, I recommend that you make a special space somewhere in your home to dedicate to the thing you love. In that space, you can keep everything relating to your passion so that you can really center and be focused on it. To get the most possible out of your space you need to keep everything in it that you could possibly need.
For example, in my studio, I keep all my canvases, my brushes, my tools and my dehumidifier which I just couldn’t live without! It dries all my work and keeps the air the perfect humidity for my work. It’s also one of the ways to prevent allergies, which is good for me since I have a dust allergy and asthma.
So, why should you have an organized dedicated workspace?
More productivity – you can be much more productive and successful if you are organized. You can focus better and work more rapidly.
More confidence – your workspace makes you feel more positive and more productive, and that makes you feel more confident.
Better focus – clutter and mess distract you from thinking and concentrating. An organized and clear workspace allows you to focus and spend longer on your passion without any disruptions.
Greater happiness – cleanliness and organization in your workspace makes you happier. You’ll feel more positive and have more space in which to think and concentrate.
It’s not that difficult to keep your dedicated workspace organized and clean. All you need to do is think about cleaning your space and giving it a clear out once per week, and at the end of each day, or every time you use it, make sure that you leave the space organized and clean. Get rid of anything you don’t really need and stow away all unnecessary items and you’ll become a lot more productive. You are sure to be amazed by how much difference a clear and dedicated workspace will make, you’ll have a better mindset, you’ll be more productive and you’ll be surprised by just how much you can accomplish every day.
I work hard to keep my art studio clean and tidy, and the sense of accomplishment it gives me is wonderful. The space is so well organized that I can just put my hand on anything and everything I need to create my masterpieces! If I didn’t have my studio I just don’t know what I’d do – but I do know I’d be a lot less creative.
